In a collaborite effort with Contender Retrievers in Iowa, we are excited about this all-yellow breeding between a recent Field Champion FC Ll's Rolling Thunder With Lightening aka "Flash", and a daughter of 2x NFC 2x NFTCH Truline's Just Floyd "Amber" (Contender's Too Good To Be Tru).

This cross is not only strong on paper, but both sire and dam bring exceptional looks, drive and intelligence to the table. As always, when you pair strong genetics with strong genetics you hope for continued enhancment of desired traits. Flash is a great marking dog that just ran 9 series in the 2025 National Open (handled by Loran Marmes). He is calm at the line, composed, and has that true On / Off switch everyone is looking for in a dog. Loran says you barely know he is in the house!

Amber was a keeper puppy out of a Floyd breeding that Contender Retrievers did. We raised her, and did her early puppy development. She was always a strong retriever and had a great nose, biddable personality and loved birds. She is now a guide dog for Contender in their pheasant operation in Northeast Iowa. She is well built (around 60 pounds), athletic and a very sweet dog. Amber is a more energetic dog but thrives on attention and companionship.
